Job summary

Wylander is seeking a Contents Crew Chief in Bolingbrook, IL to lead a team restoring customers' personal belongings after fire, water, mold, or storm losses. You will inventory, pack, transport, and restore contents with care and professionalism. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and excellent communication with customers, insurers, and crew.

The position offers pay in the $30-$35/hour range, eligibility for bonus, 401(k), PTO, and overtime.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in a Crew Chief Lead role.
• IICRC, WRT/ASD and AMRT certifications.
• Experience in fire, smoke and odor remediation.
• Experience in I-Cat and Contents Track Software.
• Strong communication and team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Contents Technicians on restoration projects.
• Inventory, pack, label, transport, and unpack customers' belongings safely and accurately.
• Clean, deodorize, sanitize, and restore contents damaged by fire, water, mold, smoke, or other losses.
• Ensure accurate documentation, inventory records, and job notes are completed.
• Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members.
• Train, coach, and support team members while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Load, unload, and safely transport contents using company vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction are achieved.
• Respond to emergency restoration calls and perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
