JOB DESCRIPTION

Apex is seeking a consultant with strong consultative skills to act as a Lead Salesforce Developer in the US & Canada practice as part of Apex Systems’ Solutions Delivery Organization. This role will join hybrid teams of internal and external product managers, analysts, and engineers to design, develop and deliver digital solutions for Apex clients. This role will be responsible for client deliverables as well as internal subject matter knowledge.

Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships. Build trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and model collaborative teamwork.
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge, skills, and effective professional consulting skills. Stay current on relevant technology and best practices. Seek out opportunities for training and certifications as time allows.
  • Produce high quality deliverables, meet project deadlines, and take responsibility for engagement and team success. Demonstrate a passion for quality and process improvement.
  • Demonstrate professional level consulting skills, and communication/ presentation skills. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.
  • Continually innovate, seek creative solutions, and find new ways of adding value. Listen and seek to understand the client and meet their needs, providing consultative guidance. JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of hands-on development experience and 5+ years as a Salesforce platform developer.
  • Experience in Salesforce development implementing APEX class, APEX triggers, Visual Force Pages, S-Controls, Force.com IDE, Eclipse with SOQL, SOSL with Plug-ins.
  • Experience working with teams of developers and other technical professionals in an Agile environment.
  • Strong experience in Salesforce Admin, as well as full life-cycle solution design and development across multiple clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud at the minimum).
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Design Patterns and general architectural best practices.
  • Proficient in Lightning Web Components framework (LWC), working knowledge of Aura components.
  • Experience building webservices using SOAP, REST, XML, JSON.
  • Expertise in DevOps best practices, CI/CD and deployment with Salesforce specific tools like Copado.
  • Experience with mentoring other technical resources in the team.
  • Ability to understand business process, solution and help breakdown the work (technical).
  • Experience and strong understanding of Salesforce best practice of industry and apply them into context of client requirements (with existing best practice).
  • Experience working across multiple product teams in solution collaboration.
  • Experience with broader software engineering scope from design, test, build, code review, deploy.
  • Experience working in self-organizing agile teams with outcome-oriented mindset.
  • Expectation is that this person will lead and will also help with some development.
  • High level of independence and autonomy in producing deliverables.
  • Positive relationship builder able to navigate through complex situations to ensure the most robust and pragmatic solution.
  • Strong analytical skills and the aptitude to quickly identify gaps and risks.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to engineering and business partners.
  • Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II certification preferred but will assess experience as substitution.
  • BA/BS required, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields (applicable education and experience may be substituted).
