Job summary

Mid-sized commercial general contractor is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial projects, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality. The role requires coordinating crews, subcontractors, and materials while maintaining clear communication with owners and inspectors.

Responsibilities include leading site teams, enforcing OSHA standards, and driving project closeout activities with diligent documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction projects and ability to manage field operations.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules and coordinating trades.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and practical safety enforcement.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and resolve sequencing issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial projects.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Maintain project schedules and communicate progress regularly.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements and lead toolbox talks.
• Lead subcontractor coordination and resolve sequencing conflicts.
• Manage project quality, inspections, and closeout documentation.
