Job summary

Pogue Construction Company in Texas is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent for commercial construction projects. You will oversee on-site activities, coordinate with the Project Manager, and apply your knowledge of plans, specs, and safety to keep projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of on-site experience as an Assistant Superintendent on commercial sites, strong communication with subs, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years serving as an assistant superintendent on commercial construction sites.
• Experience coordinating with project managers and field teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards and on-site documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction activities and ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and subs to resolve constructability issues.
• Host pre-construction and weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Maintain daily reports and project documentation.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce site rules.
• Track progress against plans and schedules; update schedules as needed.
• Support SWPPP and site logistics planning.
