Job summary

Wohlsen Construction is seeking a Safety & Health Manager to lead safety programs across geographic territories under the Director of Safety. This role focuses on coaching, inspections, training, and incident investigations to protect workers and ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in construction safety, relevant certifications, and strong communication skills to guide teams and subcontractors. Travel to project sites and offices is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of construction safety and health experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
• CHST, ASP, CSP or comparable safety certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction course or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10- & 30-hour Instructor preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction operations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular Site Safety Inspections and follow through on corrective actions.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, goal setting, performance reviews, and corrective action for team members.
• Support subcontractor safety administration, including site-specific requirements and investigations.
• Participate in Safety Team and drive safety initiatives and training.
• Develop and improve Safety & Health policies, procedures, and programs.
• Deliver safety training on policies, OSHA certifications, first aid, and other topics.
• Ensure safety data, reports, and documentation are accurate and timely.
• Analyze inspection and incident data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
