Job summary

Actalent seeks a Construction Quality Control Manager for a federal DoD project in Lakehurst, NJ. You will lead the Contractor Quality Control program, coordinate with site leaders, subcontractors, labs, COR, and government QA staff, and ensure compliance with contract documents and codes.

The role requires a QCM with extensive DoD construction experience, CQM/CQM certifications, and the ability to obtain a secret clearance. On-site work with federal benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Minimum of 5+ years as a Quality Control Manager on construction projects.
• Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification.
• USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification on DoD/NAVFAC/USACE projects.
• Experience with renovations, new construction, site development, and excavation.
• Ability to obtain DISCO Secret Clearance or higher, if required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the CQC system for federal projects.
• Serve as the primary QCM for quality control on multiple projects.
• Create and maintain project‑specific CQC plans per federal requirements.
• Review and track submittals, shop drawings, data, and material samples.
• Coordinate with site team, subcontractors, COR, and QA personnel to resolve issues.
• Conduct inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specs, and QA standards.
• Prepare and submit detailed QC documentation and deficiency logs.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Integrate QA/QC requirements into schedules and work plans using PM tools.
• Promote QA/QC standards across project teams and drive corrective actions.
