Job summary

W.E. O’Neil Construction in San Diego, CA is seeking a Project Scheduler to support teams in managing the project schedule and communicating critical path impacts.

The role requires coordinating with estimators, superintendents and project managers to develop and maintain the P6 and MS Project schedules for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate has a four-year degree in a related field and 1–5 years of scheduling experience, with advanced skills in P6, MS Project and related scheduling

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field and a minimum of 1-5 years of scheduling experience.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Advanced understanding of scheduling
• Advanced understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, construction documents, schedules, RFIs, submittals and material procurement
• Advanced proficiency in P6
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or P6 Scheduling Software and Project Management Software. With experience, using daily software tools, such as Bluebeam, Plan Grid, Safety Mojo, BIM 360 Glue, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage
• Demonstrated understanding of the importance of relationship building
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Well-developed time management and organization skills

Responsibilities

• The Project Scheduler assists project teams in managing the project schedule and notifies critical path impacts.
• Manage Core Services Schedulers for scheduling tasks and support schedule deliverables.
• Coordinate with Estimators, Superintendents and Project Managers through GMP scheduling.
• Maintain and enforce scheduling philosophy and content excellence and perform monthly schedule updates.
• Develop bid schedules with Estimating and provide leadership to ensure schedule quality.
