Job summary

State of Maryland is seeking an Administrator III (Project Manager) to oversee large-scale capital construction and maintenance across correctional facilities. You will lead agency engineers, architects, and contractors to deliver high-security upgrades, system modernizations, and expansions on time and within budget.

The role involves managing O&M, life-cycle replacements, restorations, and energy/utility services while ensuring compliance with strict security protocols and building codes.

Qualifications

• Requires extensive project management oversight of large-scale capital projects.
• Experience developing scopes, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Strong leadership of engineers, architects and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develops comprehensive project plans (scope, schedule, budget, resources).
• Directs engineers/architects and contractors from planning through post-construction.
• Ensures compliance with building codes, safety standards, and agency policies.
• Oversees O&M, life-cycle replacements, restorations, and modernization efforts.
• Coordinates with external stakeholders and conducts regular site inspections.
