Job summary

Optimum Communications Inc. is hiring a Construction Supervisor to coordinate development, planning and construction of new cable facilities. You will oversee subcontractors and in-house crews, ensure safety standards, and communicate with utilities and local authorities.

The role requires several years of construction leadership, strong planning and communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. On-site work with potential travel within the area is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction plans.
• Strong planning, organizational and data-entry skills.
• Proven ability to mentor staff and manage workloads.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and code compliance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development, implementation, construction and documentation of new projects.
• Direct construction activities of subcontractors and in-house teams to meet safety and quality standards.
• Schedule field activities with departments, utilities and authorities.
• Oversee MDU and plant construction work and crews.
• Administer site inspections and ensure compliance with codes.
• Monitor progress, expenditures, and inventory; prepare progress reports.
• Provide training to workers on safety rules and procedures.
• Represent the company in negotiations with owners and municipalities.
