Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects from preconstruction through turnover. You will manage EPC contractors, schedule, budgets, safety, and quality to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in electrical infrastructure, and a BA/BS in a related field. You will coordinate with utilities, engineers, and field personnel to drive projects to completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction management within renewable energy or EPC projects.
• Experience on utility-scale renewable energy or large electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience from preconstruction through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction operations for utility-scale BESS projects.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and equipment logistics.
• Develop, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Coordinate procurement, material deliveries, workforce planning, and sequencing.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and project scopes.
• Support preconstruction activities including RFPs, bid evaluations, estimating, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with utilities, engineering teams, inspectors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve construction challenges, schedule delays, and project risks.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, punch-list, closeout, and turnover.
