Job summary

The General Construction and Maintenance Supervisor I position is with the Department of Health and is located at the Kalaupapa Settlement on Molokai. You will supervise skilled trades workers, helpers, equipment operators, laborers and other staff in the construction, maintenance, alteration and repair of buildings and related infrastructure.

The role requires extensive supervisory experience, a valid driver's license, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States as a condition of employment.
• Eight years of varied construction and maintenance experience, with four years as a skilled worker and one year supervisory experience.
• A valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise skilled trades workers, helpers, equipment operators, laborers, and other staff in construction and maintenance tasks.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings, structures, paved areas, and electrical/plumbing systems; supervise related equipment and grounds work.
• Plan, schedule, assign, and review work of crew; provide training and evaluate performance.
