Oregon Department of Transportation in Oregon is seeking a Construction Inspector 4 to join the Delivery & Operations Division. You will ensure daily contract compliance, oversee inspection and survey teams, and verify work to contract specs for safety of the traveling public. Hybrid work is optional.

The role is primarily in Eastern Oregon, with first screening at 9 a.m. on Oct 28, 2026. First consideration will be given to residents of Malheur County.

Formación

• Three years of engineering field experience in construction inspection or surveying.
• Alternative: an associate degree with one year of technician experience.
• Broad knowledge of construction contract administration and surveying.

Responsabilidades

• Perform semi-skilled engineering support work and surveying.
• Conduct traffic studies, inspections, surveying, materials testing, and data analysis.
• Inspect construction sites and verify conformance to specs.
• Direct field surveying activities on a crew.
• Prepare a 3D digital terrain model from survey data.
• Document materials and ensure proper payments to contractors.
• Travel to project sites and attend safety meetings.
• Work outdoors in various weather with long hours; hybrid option.
