This role blends hands-on rooftop work with growing leadership responsibilities on reroofing and upgrade projects, guiding crews and coordinating with project managers to stay on schedule and maintain safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of commercial HVAC installation or construction experience.
• Experience with rooftop equipment, curbs, penetrations, and RTUs.
• Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate with multiple trades.

About the Role

As a Lead Construction HVAC Technician, you'll help coordinate and guide HVAC crews and subcontractors responsible for mechanical upgrades on reroofing projects, commercial HVAC installations, rooftop equipment replacements, and related construction activities. This position combines hands-on HVAC work with growing leadership responsibilities and provides a clear path toward future field leadership opportunities.

The ideal candidate is a skilled commercial HVAC technician who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining quality standards, solving problems in the field, and helping projects stay on schedule while working safely in rooftop environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee commercial HVAC installation activities related to rooftop equipment replacements, curbs, penetrations, AC stands, and mechanical upgrades
• Help coordinate the daily activities of HVAC technicians and subcontractors on assigned projects
• Work closely with project managers and field leadership to keep projects on schedule and within quality standards
• Assist with crew leadership, training, and mentoring of less experienced technicians
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards and applicable codes
• Conduct jobsite inspections and identify potential issues before they impact project schedules
• Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite environment
• Support material management and project coordination efforts as needed

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC installation or construction experience preferred
• Experience with rooftop HVAC equipment, RTUs, curbs, penetrations, and related mechanical systems
• Previous experience leading projects, crews, or apprentices is preferred but not required
• Comfortable working on rooftops and at heights
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC installation practices and jobsite safety requirements
• Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate work with multiple trades
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
