Job summary

Mavin Foreman utilize their specialized trade skills on a wide variety of construction projects. They report directly to the Mavin Superintendent assigned to each job and responsibilities can vary drastically from one job to another.

Mavin Foreman perform their craft at the highest level of quality and with the precision necessary for successful project completion. Foremen lead teams, ensure safety, and coordinate with the superintendent to keep job sites organized and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years construction experience.
• Knowledge of at least one building trade and capable of performing that work without supervision.
• Basic ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Has a general knowledge and ability to use small tools.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Hourly Position.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate fully in Internal Mavin Company meetings.
• Coordinate with superintendent to ensure time is input correctly each pay period.
• Complete expense report when applicable and assist superintendent with paperwork.
• Assist superintendent in setting up jobsite and signing off on site logistics (dumpster locations, toilets, utilities, fencing, trailer).
• Supervise and participate in construction activities (carpentry, hanging doors, painting touch-ups, etc.).
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and operation guides.
• Instruct and direct construction and maintenance employees as required.
• Ensure work meets contract documents and quality standards; troubleshoot issues.
• Obtain relevant certifications if required and mentor other employees.
