Job summary

Chesapeake Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to analyze project documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and prepare bid tabulations for competitive proposals.

You will coordinate with the bid team, identify risk, manage subcontractor proposals, and turnover awarded projects to the PM team. A bachelor's in Civil Eng/Construction Management and 5+ years estimating is required. We offer a flexible environment and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years estimating or related project experience.
• Proficiency with estimating software, especially On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Experience with Division 2-16 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project documents to determine overall cost estimates for bids.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop bid tabulations for own trade assignments.
• Coordinate scopes of work with bid team and develop subcontractor proposals.
• Identify risk issues and their magnitude; manage responses to invitations to bid.
• Turnover awarded projects to the project management team.
