Job summary

NAVFAC in Charleston seeks a senior engineer/architect to enforce contract provisions, serve as the technical representative on modifications and claims, and provide expert construction engineering and management advisory services to the Facilities Engineering Command and its tenants. Qualifications

• Must be registered as a professional engineer (PE) or registered architect (RA) with licensure in the U.S. district/territory or a state.
• Resume must show at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-12.
• Experience in leading engineering/architectural projects and applying Federal contract administration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts.
• Act as the technical representative for contract modifications and claims.
• Provide expert construction engineering and management advisory services to NAVFAC activities and tenants.
• Provide final approval of designs for major structures and facilities involving public safety.
