Job summary

Peerless Pump Company seeks an experienced Configuration Engineering Lead & Project Manager/Engineer to guide the Configuration Engineering team and oversee Light Engineered Project orders from kickoff to delivery.

You will balance hands-on project execution with building team capabilities, driving improvements, and ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting schedules. A four-year engineering degree and rotating equipment expertise are preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year technical or engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong rotating equipment knowledge including drivers, controls, and interface systems.
• Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, CATIA/SAP knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Configuration Engineering team with clear performance expectations and a culture of accountability.
• Manage and engineer all assigned Light Engineered Project orders, serving as primary customer interface through the order lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing workflows and performance data to optimize processes and standardize practices.
• Establish execution strategies across engineering, sourcing, documentation and scheduling to meet timelines and contractual commitments.
• Maintain responsibility for project execution performance and on-schedule deliverables.
• Evaluate and manage customer-driven changes, assess impacts to cost, schedule and resources.
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks to protect delivery and profitability.
