Job summary

Deciphera Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Specialist, Compound Management to oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of chemical and biological samples supporting drug discovery. You will ensure sample integrity, inventory accuracy, and complete documentation while collaborating with Chemistry, Biology, IT, Facilities/EHS, CROs, and external partners.

The role emphasizes accurate weighing, preparation, and documentation, with a focus on safety, data integrity, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in compound management, sample management, or laboratory operations in biotech/pharma.
• Experience in CRO environments and research within biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, registration, storage, tracking, and inventory of compounds and CRO materials.
• Prepare, weigh, aliquot, solubilize, and dispense compounds with accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate shipments and sample distribution with CROs and partners.
• Maintain compound management databases and informatics workflows with data integrity.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and develop SOPs and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support safe and compliant operations.
