Job summary

Mercury Systems seeks an experienced electrical engineer focused on Component Engineering to mature our component process and framework. You will lead parts and reliability activities across space and terrestrial programs, driving environmental requirements, part selection, and MRB support.

The role is hybrid with locations in Huntsville, AL; Chantilly, VA; Cypress, CA; or Andover, MA, and a Friday off every other week option. A DoD Secret clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM required; DoD/electronics experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 years in defense/electronics or 5+ years with a Master’s.
• Active US DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead component reviews and ensure program compliance for space and military programs.
• Collaborate with customers, agencies, and cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues.
• Develop environmental/characteristic requirements from SOWs and manage BOM coordination.
• Generate part qualifications, NSPARs, and manage obsolescence risk reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain PMP meeting artifacts.
