Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Communications Superintendent in Tysons, VA to manage multiple subcontractors and crews, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality. You will forecast look-ahead schedules, coordinate with engineering, and maintain detailed project records to meet owner requirements.

The role requires strong communication skills, a focus on results, and the ability to work a flexible schedule with up to 25% travel. Prior IT, telecom, or security project experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or Construction Management and 5+ years of installation in IT, Cable, Electrical, RF and/or Telecommunications.
• Experience on telecom and electronic security projects from $50k to $5M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Experience installing Information Transport Systems.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations with crews of 5-30 technicians on a project/program or sub-section.
• Maintain job site safety via daily safety meetings and inspections.
• Plan material location and storage to enhance productivity.
• Deliver project status and schedules to Project Manager weekly.
• Coordinate with field personnel and engineering to address installation issues.
