Job summary

FST Technical services is seeking a Commissioning Project Engineer to lead the delivery of professional services for MEP systems. The role requires coordinating field validation, testing, submittals, and design evaluation across multiple projects.

You will manage time and expenses, attend cx meetings, and support the construction team with issue resolution while maintaining positive client relations. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in HVACR, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, construction management or related field.
• 5+ years in maintenance, construction, or engineering controls; or 1+ year in Cx.
• 3+ years coordinating building equipment interconnectivity (pumps, fans, boilers, BAS, etc.).
• Knowledge of drawings, specs, bid process, and related docs.
• Ability to solve problems independently and with a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication; public speaking skills.
• Able to adapt to indoor/outdoor work; lift 30 lbs; climb ladders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and execute professional services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Complete office tasks, manage time/expenses, field validation, and test reports.
• Attend meetings, document results, perform on-site and factory witness testing, review submittals.
• Lead CX meetings; assist construction team with technical issue resolution; maintain client relations.
• Coordinate with other engineers for scheduling; mentor team; participate in safety/training programs.
• Travel to and from various job sites within the region.
