Job summary

ERock is hiring a Commissioning Manager to lead technicians and own the readiness, FAT/SAT, and energization of PLCs, protective relays, and SCADA across LV and MV microgrid projects. You will coordinate with engineering, construction, PM, and customers, while ensuring safety and documentation are top priorities.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical power generation or microgrid environments, an associate degree or technical diploma, and willingness to travel for site work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical power generation, microgrid, or industrial controls with leadership.
• Associate degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering tech or related field.
• Proficient in generator controls, protection relays, SCADA interfaces, and PLCs.
• Willingness to travel nationally and work on active sites.
• Valid driver’s license and safety qualifications.
• Experience coordinating FAT/SAT and turnover on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning technicians, set expectations, training plans, field support.
• Serve as first technical escalation point for commissioning issues.
• Own commissioning readiness: scope, staffing, schedule, test plans.
• Plan FAT, SAT, and energization for LV and MV sites.
• Develop and maintain commissioning procedures and check sheets.
• Verify protection settings, control logic, and end-to-end SCADA integration.
• Coordinate with engineering, PM, NOC/SCADA, and customers to keep schedule.
• Ensure field safety and proper energization readiness.
• Review turnover data and closeout documentation.
