Job summary
ABB is seeking a commissioning lead in North America to manage on-site and remote commissioning for low to medium complexity projects. The role requires collaboration with installation supervisors, contractors, and safety/compliance adherence.
You will support continuous improvement and provide training to customers. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in field service within power generation or electronics, with strong software and PID control knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- 5+ years in field services as field service engineer in power generation/electronics.
- Strong servicing, maintenance, commissioning and repair experience with power electronics.
- Knowledge of servicing industrial equipment.
- Strong software understanding; control systems and PID calibration.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate with Installation Supervisor/Site Manager on activities.
- Implement design changes and mark up project documentation.
- Lead commissioning activities for low to medium complexity projects.
- Offer quality operation and maintenance training to customers.
