Lead Commissioning Engineer

Westfalia Technologies is a leader in providing solutions for plants, warehouses, and distribution centers. We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The Lead Commissioning Engineer is the primary technical lead on assigned commissioning projects and oversees a small team of engineers or technicians. This role is responsible for guiding team performance, managing schedule adherence, and ensuring clear communication with internal stakeholders and customers. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer with strong problem-solving, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead technical resource on a single project, both on-site and remotely.
• Manage a team of 2–4 commissioning engineers or technicians.
• Act as the primary technical contact for the Solutions Delivery (SD) team.
• Track project progress, identify resource needs, and communicate scheduling changes.
• Mentor junior team members to promote technical growth and consistency.
• Ensure accuracy of documentation, including redlines, AOI adjustments, and sprint tracker updates.
• Determine when issues require escalation to a specialist.
• Maintain quality and consistency in commissioning deliverables.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of field commissioning or controls engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, and industrial troubleshooting.
• Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
