Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our Boise, Idaho team. This full-time, on-site role leads HVAC and related commissioning across healthcare, commercial, retail, and education projects, guiding from design review to owner turnover.

You will review tests and field reports, mentor technicians, and collaborate directly with owners, designers, and contractors. Travel up to 50% is expected, with ongoing growth toward independent project leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience commissioning HVAC, refrigeration, or other electrical systems.
• CCP, CxA, or BCxP certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Bluebeam or similar PDF tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning from design review through owner turnover.
• Review and sign off on functional performance tests and field reports.
• Mentor technicians and grow the team.
• Deliver final commissioning reports and represent the firm in meetings.
