Job summary

Tech Systems, Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking a Lead Installation Technician for Commercial Security Systems.

You will lead the installation and service of complex security solutions, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems, in commercial environments. The role requires expertise in Systems Houses, Genetec, Hugs, Pro-Watch, and Avigilon, plus strong project management, communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience programming access control and video systems.
Networking experience required.

Responsibilities

Install low-voltage security systems in new construction and existing commercial environments.
Install and terminate end devices, including badge readers, motion detectors, glass break sensors, magnetic locks, door strikes, IP and analog cameras, and camera lenses.
Dress and terminate access control and security head-end panels within IDF rooms, including light conduit work as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Perform preventative maintenance on access control and video systems and provide updates to management.
Provide daily direction, oversight, and training to Apprentice Installation Technicians.
Assist with technical support issues and troubleshooting as needed.
