Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Security Service Technician / Lead Commercial Installer to install, service and troubleshoot security systems at commercial sites across Ohio. The role leads projects, coordinates onsite work, and may train junior technicians while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in commercial security, IP camera and access control experience, and be licensed (Ohio Fire Alarm). Travel statewide with a valid license and clean background.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial security, low-voltage, or related industry experience.
• Experience leading installations and capable of running a job independently.
• Experience with IP Cameras and Access Control Systems.
• Experience with Genetec and/or Pro-Watch.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• State of Ohio Fire Alarm License (required for service-focused work).
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems across commercial customer sites.
• Lead installation projects, coordinate work onsite, and train junior technicians.
• Explain system capabilities to customers and ensure proper operation.
• Travel statewide to support installation and service projects.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to complete installations and repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to code requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
