Job summary

Guardian Protection Services, Inc. seeks an experienced security installation professional to work on large industrial sites, retail, and outdoor locations.

You will install cabling, field devices and controls according to specifications, read blueprints, and coordinate with managers to meet schedules while maintaining safety standards. The role includes training junior installers, operating lifts and ladders, and commissioning cloud-based systems on user devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial security installation experience.
• Willingness to obtain NICET certification(s) as required.
• Possess or be able to obtain fire alarm technician licenses for Ohio and West Virginia.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Install cabling, field devices and controls according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
• Ensure installations are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Coordinate with managers and team members to meet schedule.
• Train and mentor junior installers.
• Operate safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Commission cloud-based systems on user devices and train users in operation.
• Conduct scheduled service calls and inspections.
• Perform fire alarm inspections and testing per NFPA 72 standards.
