Job summary

East Texas Cooling Systems is seeking a hardworking, dependable helper to learn refrigeration technician duties. You will be coached in the refrigeration cycle, ice machines, walk-ins, and building controls, with on-the-job training and long hours in a TEAM environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• EPA Section 608 Certification must be obtained within the first year.
• Proficient reading and comprehension.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration failures.
• Perform routine maintenance for optimal system performance.
• Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves.
• Recover and reclaim refrigerants per EPA regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and document findings.
• Maintain accurate service records and logs.
• Provide excellent on-site customer service.
