Qualifications

• Five+ years of commercial painting estimating experience.
• Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and understanding of commercial paint scopes.
• Ability to estimate projects from small commercial work to multi-million-dollar jobs.
• Strong communication skills with GCs and clients.
• Independent, accurate takeoffs and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed, accurate takeoffs using OST and prepare professional proposals.
• Review plans, specs, and project documents; seek clarifications as needed.
• Submit bids, follow up with clients, and communicate throughout bidding process.
• Manage multiple estimates and track them with internal tools.
• Collaborate with owner and team on cost structures, production assumptions, and bid strategy.
• Provide guidance to junior estimators; training/mentoring is a plus.
• Participate in occasional demonstrations of estimating capability.
