Job summary

QuestMark Construction Services, based in Dallas–Fort Worth, is seeking a Commercial Painting Estimator to join our growing Construction Services team. This role focuses on estimating and securing commercial and industrial painting projects throughout Texas and surrounding regions.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, with 5+ years of estimating experience and a solid understanding of painting systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial painting estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Experience estimating projects from $50k to $10+ million.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial painting projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Work with General Contractors, owners, architects, and project teams.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Assist with value engineering and scope reviews.
• Coordinate with project management during turnover.
• Maintain bid schedules and proposal deadlines.
• Support business development and cultivate relationships with customers and industry partners.
