Responsibilities include accurate takeoffs, bid submissions, ongoing client communication, and mentoring junior estimators.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of commercial painting estimating experience.
• Proficient with OST and commercial paint scopes.
• Experience estimating small to multi-million-dollar projects.
• Strong communication with GCs and clients.
• Ability to produce complete, accurate takeoffs independently.
• Leadership mindset and willingness to mentor others.
• Stable work history in commercial painting estimating.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed takeoffs using OST and prepare proposals.
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents; request clarifications from general contractors and project managers as needed.
• Submit bids, follow up with clients, and communicate effectively throughout the bidding process.
• Manage multiple estimates at once and maintain organized tracking through internal tools.
• Collaborate with the owner and team regarding cost structures, production assumptions, and bid strategy.
• Provide guidance to junior estimators; the ability to train and mentor is a strong plus.
• Participate in occasional working sessions or demonstrations of estimating capability.
