Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting is seeking an experienced Commercial Painting Estimator in Raleigh, NC to lead accurate, competitive bids for large-scale projects. The role focuses on reviewing plans, specs, and scopes of work, and developing relationships that convert bids into awarded work.

The ideal candidate will manage a high volume of estimates, attend pre-bid walkthroughs, visit jobsites, network with General Contractors, and communicate scope and pricing clearly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial painting estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial painting scopes, materials, labor, and project requirements.
• Proven track record of estimating and winning commercial painting work.
• Experience managing a significant volume of bids.
• Proven ability to generate approximately $6M+ in awarded work annually.
• Excellent bid strategy, hit rates, pricing, and competitive positioning.
• Experience working with General Contractors and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial painting projects.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
• Develop detailed bids and proposals for commercial painting projects.
• Manage a high volume of estimating activity with accuracy.
• Build and maintain relationships with General Contractors, clients, and partners.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client meetings.
• Follow up on bids and communicate scope, pricing, and changes to clients.
• Identify opportunities to increase project value through client relationships.
