Design Alternatives seeks a Commercial Design Specialist to lead interior renovations from site survey to installation on turnkey design-build projects. You will own a book of commercial assignments and collaborate with a veteran team on senior care and hospitality builds.

The role requires at least 2 years of interior design experience, a relevant degree, AutoCAD LT proficiency, and strong knowledge of codes and ADA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional interior design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT (2D) for technical documentation and space planning.
• Experience conducting site surveys, field measurements, and client-ready presentations.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements; understand construction cost impacts.

Responsabilités

• Own a diverse portfolio of commercial interior renovations from concept to completion.
• Perform precise site surveys and document field conditions for design accuracy.
• Lead FF&E, materials, and finishes specification to meet client vision and budget.
• Present design schemes to stakeholders and iterate for approval.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and field teams to maintain timelines.
• Onboard new suppliers and manage the design sample library and industry engagement.
• Support senior teams on large-scale projects with spec books and logistics.
