Job summary

CGL Facilities Management is seeking a Lead Commercial HVAC Systems Specialist to be the on-site leader for mission-critical building comfort and reliability. From the first system check to the final work order, you diagnose, service, and perform preventive maintenance on chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, and control systems.

You will document work in CMMS, handle refrigerants per EPA, and collaborate on lifecycle upgrades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial or institutional HVAC.
• Active EPA Universal Certification.
• Expertise with electrical schematics, pneumatics, DDC controls, and hydronic systems.
• Team-first leadership, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and perform advanced preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, and control systems.
• Tune system performance for energy efficiency and occupant comfort across the facility.
• Document work accurately in the CMMS and maintain safe, orderly work areas.
• Recover and handle refrigerants in full compliance with EPA regulations.
• Partner with facility leadership to plan lifecycle upgrades and long-term improvements that support community needs.
