Job summary

Total Comfort Group is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Port Charlotte, FL. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including RTUs, split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, and ventilation systems.

You will read blueprints, perform startup and commissioning, and communicate findings to customers with a safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with RTUs, split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, ventilation equipment
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls is a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and components
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment tune-ups
• Service and maintain rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, ventilation systems, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, airflow, and control system issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Perform startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment
• Communicate findings, repair recommendations, and maintenance needs to customers
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly
• Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
