Job summary

The role requires a state HVAC license, 5+ years of progressive experience, strong technical knowledge, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Occasional travel to support out-of-town projects is expected.

Qualifications

• Current HVAC License (state-specific requirements apply).
• 5+ years of progressive commercial HVAC experience, including supervisory roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, and service practices.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage projects efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
• Proficient in scheduling, time management, and resource allocation.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise journeymen, apprentices, and other field staff.
• Set the tone for professionalism, safety, and quality on job sites.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily HVAC field operations.
• Coordinate with project managers and general contractors to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
• Control quality and layout of on-site projects to meet specifications and codes.
• Order materials, equipment, and parts as needed.
• Track and control deliveries, ensuring proper allocation and use on projects.
• Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory.
• Perform equipment installations, replacements, and changeouts.
• Oversee and participate in new installations and owner-direct projects.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
• Complete and submit required reports, timesheets, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding project status, issues, and needs.
• Support estimating and planning teams when needed.
• Travel occasionally to support out-of-town projects.
