Job summary

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
• Experience with renovations or restoration projects; ground-up only is not sufficient.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate with owners, architects, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead project kickoff, procurement planning, subcontractor buyout, and contract execution.
• Develop and manage project schedules with the Site Superintendent.
• Coordinate activities to meet timelines and requirements across multiple projects.
• Plan construction in occupied or sensitive environments (schools, churches, medical facilities, historic properties).
• Manage change orders, pay applications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Maintain project financial records and communicate budget updates to stakeholders.
• Lead owner and architect meetings; ensure clear communication and documentation.
• Oversee closeout, punch lists, warranties, and final turnover.
