Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting seeks a Combustion Technician for an industrial manufacturing environment. You will oversee the safe, efficient operation of combustion systems, including furnaces, burners, and gas trains.

The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of emissions monitoring, and a background in heavy industry. Overtime and a robust benefits program are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with industrial combustion systems (steel or heavy manufacturing preferred).
• Strong knowledge of natural gas, combustion controls, and emissions monitoring.
• Leadership and team training experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize combustion systems for maximum efficiency and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on burners, controls, and gas trains.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards.
