Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an engineering professional to contribute to advanced combustion modeling, simulation, and methods development within the Combustion Design module. You will perform high-end thermoacoustics simulations to assess stability and propose mitigation strategies while collaborating with design engineers and supporting engine programs.

You should have strong CFD/FEA experience, thermoacoustics modeling, and the ability to present results clearly.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in practical applications.
• Thermoacoustics modeling and signal processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Use simulation and test data processing to conduct combustion dynamics analysis and assess system stability.
• Develop mitigation strategies using thermoacoustics tools.
• Assist in design decisions and root cause analysis via predictive analysis simulations.
• Execute analyses using sound engineering principles and documented procedures.
• Document work clearly and present results in reviews.
• Contribute to best practices and templates for the GE Vernova Combustion community.
• Embrace Lean principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
