Job summary

100Hires, Inc. seeks an experienced welder for the Coil Department to test coils, pinpoint leaks, and guide junior mechanics. You’ll repair leaks, maintain quality metrics, and mentor teammates to uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced plant setting.

Strong knowledge of welding, reading drawings, and ISO documentation is required. You’ll participate in LEAN initiatives, drive improvements, and support cross-functional collaboration across the production line.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of coil department experience and strong product knowledge.
• Clear written and spoken English; professional communication.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Able to lead small groups and mentor juniors.
• Familiar with ISO procedures, policies, and instructions.
• Ability to read welding drawings and labor to BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Test coils at the tank, locate leaks, perform precise repairs, move work to next operation.
• Update and post key metrics and keep coil proficiency log with comments.
• Train and mentor mechanics; share lessons learned and drive improvements.
• Review daily tickets, complete ISO docs, uphold 5S standards.
• Support safety, quality procedures, and equipment cross-training.
