Job summary

Dorleco is seeking an experienced Automotive Cockpit System Engineer to lead design, development, and integration of cockpit trim components for Slate vehicles. You will ensure FMVSS compliance, manage from concept through launch, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet program milestones.

You will oversee packaging, material selection, and validation activities, including PPAP documentation, DV/PV, and supplier reviews, in a fast-paced launch environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field required; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in automotive Cockpit System engineering.
• Experience with FMVSS/IIHS regulatory requirements.
• Experience releasing components in PLM.
• Ability to lead teams and make tradeoffs.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and launch of cockpit system components (bins, trims, IP doors).
• Ensure packaging compatibility and system functionality across interfaces.
• Lead product development, tooling reviews, and launches from concept to launch.
• Conduct supplier and internal technical reviews to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet program milestones and PPAP.
• Validate cockpit systems with test loads and reports; support DV/PV.
