Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Coatings Inspector II to lead coating and lining inspections on industrial, water, and infrastructure projects. You plan hold points, verify surface prep, application and cure, and sign off at each step.

You will perform adhesion and holiday testing, write inspection and nonconformance reports, supervise Level 1 inspectors, and collaborate with owners and applicators.

Qualifications

• AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 2 certification, current.
• 2+ years of coating inspection experience under CIP Level 2.
• Experience on tank linings, pipeline coatings, or structural steel coatings.

Responsibilities

• Plan inspection hold points and testing from the coating specification and manufacturer data; verify surface preparation, application, and cure with sign-off authority at each hold point.
• Perform adhesion, holiday, and cure testing; disposition defects and specify repairs; supervise Level 1 inspectors on larger projects and review their logs.
• Write inspection and nonconformance reports; represent the inspection program to the owner and applicator.
