Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Lead Coach to support teacher leaders and ILTs at select CPS schools. The role focuses on building capacity for distributed leadership, coaching teachers, and accelerating instructional core goals.

The position requires a valid Illinois teaching license and at least four years of teaching experience, with opportunities to collaborate across the Talent and Teaching and Learning Offices. CPS offers district PD and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• Minimum four years of teaching experience or commensurate experience.
• Experience leading peers/adults effectively.
• Expertise in the school community's instructional needs and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead or co-leading member of the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT).
• Plan and support distributed leadership strategies with School Leaders.
• Develop recruitment, development, and retention plans for teacher leadership roles.
• Provide one-to-one instructional coaching to teacher leaders and monitor learning outcomes.
• Lead team meetings and support teachers and teacher leaders in learning cycles.
