Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision-focused manufacturing team in Iowa. You will collaborate with engineering and CAD staff, optimize tooling and processes, and ensure quality tooling production from concept through completion.

Key duties include Mastercam-based G-code programming, fixture design, tool library management, and mentoring of Tooling Center machinists. A strong CAM background and SolidWorks CSWA will help you excel in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or CNC certification preferred.
• 5+ years in advanced manufacturing is required; CAM programming experience also required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and CAD technicians to improve tooling designs and processes.
• Use Mastercam to generate G-code for CNC machining operations.
• Design work-holding fixtures or select appropriate fixtures.
• Build and maintain a departmental tool library database.
• Select tooling and determine speeds and feeds for quality output.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings to support machining operations.
• Set up and calibrate CNC machines for production runs.
• Operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components.
• Monitor machining processes to ensure compliance with specs and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement and new technology opportunities.
• Stay current with CAD/CAM, tooling, and machining advancements.
• Mentor Tooling Center machinists and team members.
• Provide training to improve team capability.
