Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Ann Arbor is seeking a programming-first Cell Leader who can translate customer drawings into robust CNC programs and guide a small team to meet quality and schedule.

You will program lathes and mills, generate setup sheets, select tools, optimize for yield, and lead a cell of up to three machines and one operator. The role requires leadership, strong CAM skills, and adherence to safety and QMS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CNC programming experience.
• Minimum 4 years of machining experience (or manager-approved equivalent).
• Proficiency with Mastercam or Hypermill and strong computer literacy.
• Strong blueprint reading; GD&T knowledge preferred.
• Experience with steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium and other materials.
• Able to lift up to 50–75 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC lathes and mills from customer drawings/specifications using Mastercam or Hypermill.
• Generate 3D models or 2D drawings from inputs when required.
• Create setup sheets; select tools and define offsets; optimize for yield and cost efficiency.
• Direct and assist setups for CNC mills and lathes; diagnose programming issues.
• Lead a cell with up to three CNC machines and manage up to one operator.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized workspace per OSHA guidelines; support QMS.
