Job summary

5th Axis is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a CNC and precision-manufacturing team on the shop floor. You’ll guide daily workflow, assign staffing, monitor productivity, quality, safety, and delivery, and coach employees to improve performance.

You’ll collaborate with the Production Manager and HR to address issues, enforce ISO 9001 standards, and ensure timely, compliant production. This hands-on leadership role rewards initiative and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of CNC machining or precision-manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and setup instructions.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and performance-management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and supervise production employees during the shift.
• Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and production priorities.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and adherence to policies.
• Provide timely performance feedback and conduct evaluations.
• Perform coaching to close performance gaps.
• Coordinate with Production Manager and HR for coaching actions.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and safety requirements.
• Document production records and reports.
• Collaborate across departments to align priorities.
