Job summary
TekPro in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to manage a CNC shop floor, lead a team of machinists, and uphold AS9100 quality standards. Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining or precision manufacturing with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of CNC milling, turning, setups, tooling, and machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Experience managing schedules, personnel, workflow and shop floor performance.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001 or similar quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily 1st shift production activities, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.
- Lead, coach, and develop CNC machinists, setup personnel, operators and other staff.
- Coordinate production schedules, machine assignments, staffing and workflow.
- Provide hands-on technical support to troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.
- Oversee CNC milling, turning and other precision machining operations.
- Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and drive throughput improvements.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Eng., Quality, Maintenance and Planning teams.
