Job summary

Impact Recruitment Ltd is seeking a hands-on Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer for a high-precision CNC machining role in Menomonee Falls, WI. You will own process development, tooling selection, and shop-floor troubleshooting across multi-axis mills, lathes, and machining centers.

This permanent, first-shift position offers a base salary up to $140,000 plus full benefits, a collaborative culture, and opportunities to mentor engineers as the team expands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Manufacturing/Process Engineering focused on CNC machining and precision metal components.
• Strong fluency in GD&T, blueprint reading, feeds and speeds, and workholding practices.
• CAD/CAM competency with Mastercam preferred; SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD as standard CAD tools.
• Education balance: Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred, but strong hands-on CNC depth can substitute.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for CNC operations, driving process development and shop-floor troubleshooting across multi-axis mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Review customer prints, 3D models, and GD&T requirements to determine optimal machining strategies, sequence of operations, and workholding methods.
• Develop and refine process plans, setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions for production teams.
• Assist with fixture design, cutting tool selection, and tool trials using CAD/CAM platforms (Mastercam, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).
• Partner with machinists, setup techs, and quality inspectors to resolve root-cause issues and evaluate CMM reports.
• Drive continuous improvement (Lean/5S) to optimize tool life, reduce scrap, and implement customer-driven revision changes.
