Job summary

McConway & Torley LLC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a CNC Machinist for a full-time Production Operations role. The candidate will operate Mazak programs on precision components, perform tight-tolerance machining, and supervise/train junior machinists while coordinating with the tech lead on fixtures and new parts.

The position requires strong reading of drawings, capability to multi-task on several machines, and flexibility for various shifts with potential overtime.

Qualifications

Able to operate Mazak programming on precision parts and tight tolerances.
Read drawings and machine a part to drawing with no assistance.
Capable of training, developing and leading entry machinists.
Willing to work differing shifts and overtime as needed.
Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long durations.

Responsibilities

Perform Quality inspections.
Operate overhead cranes and forklift to transfer materials.
Perform machining setup changes and troubleshoot machine errors.
Coach, develop and train entry machinists.
Complete regular production and multitask across multiple machines.
Adjust machining programs (Mazak) to achieve desired results.
Collaborate with Machinist Tech lead to learn fixtures, write programs from scratch, and set up new parts.
